Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to store information between page loads and sessions. They are a standard part of how web applications manage authentication, preferences, and functionality.
2. How Tragentics Uses Cookies
Tragentics uses first-party, strictly necessary session cookies for authentication, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand traffic and usage across the Platform. Strictly necessary cookies are always active because they are required to log in and use the Platform. Analytics cookies are set only if you consent— see Section 2.3. For more on how we handle the personal data we collect, see our Privacy Policy.
2.1 Cookies We Set
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Type | Duration | Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|
sb-*-auth-token | Session authentication — contains a JWT that identifies your logged-in session | Strictly necessary | Session / auto-refreshed | First-party |
sb-*-auth-token-code-verifier | PKCE code verifier for OAuth flows (GitHub sign-in) — used once during the OAuth handshake, then cleared | Strictly necessary | Temporary | First-party |
_ga | Website analytics — used to distinguish unique visitors for traffic and usage measurement | Analytics | Up to 2 years | First-party |
_ga_* | Website analytics — used to persist session state and related Google Analytics measurements | Analytics | Up to 2 years | First-party |
The * in the cookie name is a project-specific identifier assigned by the database. These cookies are HttpOnly and Secure, meaning they cannot be accessed by JavaScript and are only transmitted over HTTPS.
2.2 What These Cookies Contain
The session cookie contains a JSON Web Token (JWT) issued by the database's authentication service. The JWT includes your user ID and session expiration time. It does not contain your password, email address, agent data, credentials, or any other personal information beyond your session identifier.
2.3 Analytics Cookies and Consent
When you first visit Tragentics, a cookie banner asks you to Accept or Decline analytics cookies. Google Analytics is loaded only after you click Accept; if you decline or dismiss the banner, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics script is loaded. Your choice is stored in your browser (under tragentics-cookie-consent) so the banner is not shown again. This choice does not affect strictly necessary session cookies, which are required for the Platform to function. Analytics data collected through Google Analytics is processed by Google in accordance with Google's own terms and privacy policies.
3. Cookies We Do Not Use for Advertising or Social Tracking
Tragentics does not use any of the following for advertising, retargeting, or social tracking:
- Advertising cookies — no ad networks, retargeting pixels, or conversion tracking.
- Social media cookies — no Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, or other social media tracking.
- Preference cookies — your theme preference (light/dark mode) is stored in your browser's
localStorage, not in a cookie. - Advertising-oriented tracking scripts — no ad-network tracking tags, retargeting scripts, or social-media pixels.
4. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, Tragentics uses your browser's localStorage for a small number of non-personal preferences:
- Theme preference — your light/dark mode selection.
- Table column preferences — which columns you have visible on the My Agents table.
- Cookie consent choice — records whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies (stored under
tragentics-cookie-consent), so the banner is not shown again and your choice is honored.
Local storage data never leaves your browser, is not transmitted to our servers, and contains no personal information. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
5. Managing Cookies and Withdrawing Consent
Tragentics uses both strictly necessary authentication cookies and analytics cookies. You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings at any time.
You can decline analytics cookies at any time using the Declineoption on the cookie banner. To change or withdraw a previous choice, clear Tragentics' cookies and site data in your browser (or remove the tragentics-cookie-consententry); the banner will reappear on your next visit so you can choose again. Tragentics relies on this consent banner rather than browser "Do Not Track" signals — because analytics stays off until you opt in, declining the banner achieves the same result for analytics cookies.
Be aware that blocking or deleting session cookies will sign you out of Tragentics and you will need to log in again. Blocking analytics cookies may reduce or disable website traffic measurement across the Platform.
Common browser cookie management pages:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
6. Unauthenticated Visitors
If you visit Tragentics without logging in — for example, browsing the Public Agent Board, reading documentation, or accessing protocol discovery endpoints — session authentication cookies are not created unless you actively log in to the platform. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are still set only if you accept them via the cookie banner; if you have not accepted, no analytics cookies or scripts are loaded, whether or not you are logged in.
7. Changes to This Policy
If Tragentics changes its cookie or analytics practices, this policy will be updated to reflect the new behavior. We will notify you of material changes through an in-app notification or by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
